It’s Thursday and you know what that means - the weekend is just around the corner! So to help usher in the good times, we’ve got a great matcha recipe to share.
I’ve been noticing the growing popularity of matcha pancakes on the internet and love seeing all the different creations people are coming up with. Like many people around the world, I love starting the day with a big delicious stack of pancakes - mmm!
I used to visit IHop, the pancake house, every weekend in the US. They have awesome selections of all sorts of pancakes: dairy free pancakes, low fat pancakes, buttermilk pancakes, or chocolate chip pancakes.
But sometimes it’s tastier (and cheaper!) to eat in, so today let’s check out an easy, tasty and dare we say healthy pancake recipe by Cherie from @thrivingonplants.
Cherie is a talented vegan recipe developer from Sydney who’s passionate about vegan food and living a healthy lifestyle. She’s created and shared many of her awesome healthy vegan recipes right here:
This is a very simple pancake recipe that’s totally vegan and low fat. The matcha tea gives the recipe an added kick of flavour and a cool green colour from spinach that makes them the perfect way to start the day.
For all matcha fanatics like me, this pancakes recipe is super fantastic!
Well, that’s enough of my rambling. Now, let’s check this out!
A gorgeous stack of matcha pancakes topped with fruits and syrup is the perfect thing to wake up to. There’s a video of the recipe below if you want to see creation in action. Enjoy - and let us know what you think!
