    It’s a new week so let’s get things started right with a new matcha recipe to try - Matcha Chocolate Fudge Oreo Brownie Cake by Haidee from @hunnytea.

    Haidee is a home baker from Japan with a seriously creative sweet tooth that leads her to design and bake designing her own desserts. One of her favourite ingredients is Oreos and they are the key ingredients of this lovely brownie cake we’re going to make today.

    Haidee’s favourite Matcha Chocolate Brownie Cake is super easy to make. The classic fusion of matcha and chocolate pairs perfectly with the crunchy texture of the Oreo topping. Let’s dive in!

    Fudgy Oreo Matcha Chocolate Brownie Cake

    Ingredients

    • 150g white chocolate
    • 30g butter
    • 30g granulated sugar
    • 2 eggs
    • 2 tbsp matcha powder
    • 40g all-purpose flour
    • Packet of Oreos
    • Pinch of salt

      Method

      1. Melt the white chocolate and butter in a microwave for 40-50 seconds or till completely melted
      2. Stir thoroughly until mixed
      3. Whisk in sugar until dissolved
      4. Incorporate the eggs one at a time
      5. Sift the matcha, salt and flour into the chocolate mixture
      6. Mix until just incorporated
      7. Pour the batter into a 10’X10” baking tin lined with parchment paper
      8. Tap the tin gently on a table to remove any air pockets
      9. Break the Oreos into halves and quarters
      10. Arrange the Oreos gently on top of your brownie mixture
      11. Put the cake into a preheated 180 C oven for 20 minutes
      12. Remove from the oven and allow the cake to cool for up to 10 minutes in the tin before serving
