    Asano is a Single Cultivar Ceremonial Grade matcha made from the Asanoka Cultivar.

    It is grown and blended from an award winning tea bender in Yame. 'Asanoka' means fragrance of the morning in Japanese and the cultivar is known for it's balance of sweetness and umami.

    We'd describe it as a relatively bold and feisty matcha with hints of green pea, lingering  umami and a strong finish with some mild hints of bitterness. Compared to our other ceremonial matcha offerings it's a bit more complex with bolder overall taste.

    Tasting Notes: Bold, Nutty, Medium Umami.
