How to Make Matcha Tea Without a Bamboo Whisk

Girl Drinking Matcha Green Tea

Mmm Matcha tea so delicious and nutritious.

But how do you make it if you don't have a bamboo whisk?

Well there there is another method to make matcha tea. You will need a handheld electric milk frother like the awesome Aerolatte, or you can pick up a cheaper one from Ikea or Daiso

It's much quicker and easier than the traditional matcha preparation. It takes about 1 minute.

Here's a quick video - if Nick can do it then just about anyone can!

You Will Need:

Method:
  • Sift 1-2 grams of matcha tea into your glass
  • Pour in your water slowly
  • Now whisk baby, whisk.
  • You should end up with a creamy, layer of froth on top

Then drink, you should end up looking something like nick in the video if you do it enough.

Have fun!

Real matcha

Kenko is the best matcha I've found in Australia. Expensive, but genuine tea matcha unlike the cooking grade which is sold by some suppliers. Whisks up to a beautiful foam, taste and aroma excellent. Reminds me of matcha I bought in Kyoto.

A very nice gift pack

This Matcha tea taste really good. Best advise, only boil water to 80%.
Staff at Kenko are really helpful. A great alternative to coffee.

Best Matcha by far

I've tried several different brands of Matcha over the years and Kenko is by far the best, highest quality Matcha you can buy. I absolutely love it! Thankyou.

Electric Matcha whisk

This great little electric whisk froths up my morning matcha in no time. Easier than using a traditional hand held bamboo whisk. Comes with a compact storage case. Kenko orders are sent with love, wrapped in red tissue paper. Highly recommended.
