Matcha Green Tea Raw Truffles

Valentine’s Day has passed but the sweetness of it is still lingers here at Kenko Tea. Although to tell the truth, any day is a good day for sweets, and if they are healthy versions of the things we love, so much the better.

Today we’ll be showing you how to make delightful Matcha Green Tea Raw Truffle Balls, following a recipe by the lovely Ogla aka  @ogla_vegandesserts!

But for now, let’s concentrate on Olga’s Matcha Truffle Balls – they are raw, vegan, and clean, with no sugar or dairy. They are very easy to make, since there’s no baking or cooking whatsoever involved. All you need to do is blend and freeze.

These truffle balls are coated with different ingredients, matcha, cacao, coconut flakes, or ground pistachio, that creates the colorful and gorgeous desserts for your party table.

Let’s get rolling!

Matcha Raw Truffle Balls

Serving: 6 medium-sized balls


  • 5 dried apricots
  • 5 soft large date
  • 2 tbsp almond butter
  • 40 g ground almonds
  • 1 tbsp maple or agave syrup
  • 1 tbsp cacao powder
  • 1.5 tbsp coconut oil (melted)


  1. Blend together apricots, dates, maple syrup & coconut oil to make a smooth paste
  2. Add cacao powder & blend again
  3. Mix in almond butter & ground almonds until well combined
  4. Roll the mixture into small truffle balls (Tip: it’s better if your hands are slightly damp)
  5. Coat them with green tea matcha, cacao, coconut flakes & ground pistachios
  6. Decorate with goji berries, pomegranate seeds & vegan chocolate candies
  7. Refrigerate for at least 30 min before serving
