The weekend is here and to help you make the most of it, Kenko Tea’s got another yummy matcha recipe to get creative with.

Today we present this amazing matcha dessert: Matcha Green Tea Chia Vegan Pudding by the super talented Cherie Tu.

Cherie’s raw, vegan, sugar free, and dairy free Matcha Chia Pudding recipe is quick and simple to make - and best of all it’s chock full of the good stuff. Chia seeds contain lots of fiber and protein, while having a very low calorie count, so they are a great aid to weight loss.

Matcha itself also contains tonnes of antioxidants and can help torch fat too – so this delicious dessert is a sweet yet innocent addition to any weight loss plan.

Plus, if you serve Cherie’s pudding with lots of fresh fruits, muesli, and nuts you’ll get plenty of vitamins and nutrients that are great for your skin and body.

Vegan Matcha Fruit Chia Pudding

Serving: 1

Ingredient

  • 2 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1/8 tsp vanilla powder
  • 1/2 tsp matcha powder
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup milk of choice (I use almond milk)

Method

  1. Whisk chia seeds, vanilla powder and matcha to a bowl
  2. Add and whisk maple syrup and milk until well combined
  3. Allow to sit for 10 minutes before whisking again to prevent clumping
  4. Pop into the fridge for a few hours until set or overnight for you to eat the following morning! :)
  5. Serve with muesli, fruits and nuts

Top tip: I'd recommend eating it with a bunch of fruit to add some extra natural sweetness + tangy flavour to it.
