Green Tea Donuts + Peanut Butter Icing

Green Tea Matcha Donuts with Peanut Butter Icing for Breakfast

Matcha Green Tea Breakfast Donuts

Doughnuts are a popular food in many countries and you can often grab them from bakeries, cafes, supermarkets or franchised stores as a quick breakfast or sweet treat throughout the day.

We love doughnuts here at Kenko. Some of us first had them when we were in the USA at Dunkin Donuts, eating a chocolate glazed variety for the first time.

Others ate their first doughnuts at a café in Australia or had a freshly baked one from a food truck.

However we first ate doughnuts, there’s one thing we can all agree on – they were delicious!

So today we are excited to present a wonderful matcha donut recipe: Matcha green tea donuts by Tess from @Tessbegg.

Tess is a fabulous girl from Sydney who dedicates herself to pursuing a healthy lifestyle with vegan food at its core. She’s a regular contributor to our blog and has created many amazing vegan recipes you can see here:

Matcha green tea doughnuts are perfect for breakfast. The recipe is served with vegan peanut butter icing, but goes well with any choice of jam or butter.

These doughnuts are extremely delicious, easy to make, vegan and healthier than the donuts you’ll find in restaurants and fast food outlets. They are not extremely sugary, but mildly sweet with a hint of green tea.
