The weekend is here and what can be better than to enjoy it with a delicious new matcha recipe that we’ve totally fallen in love with: Matcha Chocolate Biscuits Sandwiches by the awesome Tess Begg!

These green tea biscuits are so easy to make and super delicious. The classic combo of matcha and chocolate will bring you the best of both worlds - healthy and delicious!

Take a bite and the crunch of the matcha biscuits combines with the soft creamy chocolate. I’m getting hungry now, so let’s get baking!

Matcha Green Tea Chocolate Vegan Biscuits Sandwich


  • 1 cup oat flour
  • 1 cup buckwheat flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tbsp matcha powder
  • ¼ cup coconut desiccated
  • ⅓ cup rice malt syrup
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil (or peanut butter)
  • ⅓ cup almond milk


  1. Whisk together the dry ingredient in a large bowl
  2. Mix well the wet ingredient in another bowl
  3. Combine the dry & wet ingredients together until having a dough
  4. Roll the dough into a ball of your desired size
  5. Press the balls down with the fork
  6. Bake at 180 C for 10-12 mins or until golden
  7. Sandwich with your choice of spread: jam, chocolate, or... ice cream (Oooh!)
