These chocolates have a perfect balance of sweet and bitter, using matcha to create a unique taste that everyone will love.

Matcha Nama Chocolate

Ingredients

Matcha Chocolate

  • 200 g white chocolate
  • 1/4 cup thickened cream
  • ¾ tbsp butter
  • 1 ¼  tbsp green tea matcha powder, sifted
  • 15 x 6.5 cm baking pan lined with parchment paper

Dusting

  • 1 tsp matcha green tea powder
  • ½ tsp icing sugar

Method

  1. Heat the thickened cream in a saucepan over medium heat until almost boiling
  2. Chop the white chocolate and butter into small pieces while the cream is heating up
  3. When the cream is ready, remove it from the heat
  4. Add and mix the chopped chocolate and butter in the heated cream until smooth
  5. Add and mix sifted matcha into the mixture until the mixture is evenly colored
  6. Pour the matcha-chocolate mixture into the prepared baking pan
  7. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours (or until hardened)
  8. Slice the chocolate into your desired size or use cookie cutters to create different shaped chocolates
  9. Mix matcha powder with icing sugar for dusting evenly on top of the chocolate.
  10. Store in the refrigerator and be served chilled
